A man has appeared in court charged with having a knife on Botchergate and of making threats.
Alistair McCluskey, 54, faced magistrates in Carlisle on March 11 and did not enter a plea.
He is accused of making a threatening phone call to Shelby Halliday with the intention of causing them distress or anxiety on January 1.
McCluskey, of Charles Street in Carlisle, is also alleged to have been in possession of a four-inch blade on Botchergate in Carlisle on February 15 without good reason or lawful authority.
The third charge alleges that he used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Michael Earl with the intent to cause him to believe that violence would be used against him. This also relates to February 15 and is said to have taken place in Carlisle.
He was bailed ahead of his next appearance before magistrates on March 18.
