A free online webinar aims to uncover the key to becoming a successful market trader.

The ‘How to Succeed as a Market Trader’ event is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to start a new business and will provide a thorough understanding of how to develop a successful market stall enterprise.

The event will feature the following four speakers and topics:

  • Phil Byers, Markets Manager at Allerdale Borough Council – Getting started as a marker trader
  • Ellie Jones, Events Manager at Allerdale Borough Council – Get involved with Taste Cumbria
  • Gillian Scotter, Food Safety Officer at Allerdale Borough Council – Food Safety Advice
  • Lesely Robinson, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce – 10 top tips/things to consider when starting a market stall business

The Allerdale Borough Council event will be held on March 28 between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

Councillor Mike Johnson, Leader of Allerdale Borough Council said: “Online events such as this webinar are a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to become successful market traders.

“Beginning life as a market trader is a low cost, low-risk way of launching a brand and gaining a solid reputation within a community. Markets are becoming fashionable places where people not only come to browse local and responsibly sourced products but also to eat and be entertained.

“Providing this webinar is just part of our overall initiative to support and grow businesses from across Allerdale”.

To register for this event attendees must register their attendance via the Business Allerdale webpage: https://businessallerdale.co.uk/how-to-succeed-as-a-market-trader/
