Workington Reds can move back into second place in NPL West if they win at Ramsbottom.
But manager Chris Willcock is expecting a hot reception from his former club, who could still finish third bottom and require a play-off to stay in the Division.
“They have had some good results at home but not so good away so it will be a test and I’m sure they will want to put one over on us.
“We will certainly have to perform better than we did on Saturday when we needed a late goal to beat the 10 men of Trafford,” said Willcock.
Apart from defender Dan Wordsworth, who is completing the final fixture of his three-match suspension, Willcock should have a full squad to pick from.
Steve Rigg dropped to the bench on Saturday after a pre-match fitness test while Nico Evangelinos, a former Ramsbottom player, was an unused substitute after a long injury lay-off.
Vice captain Brad Carroll has been operating in Wordsworth’s centre-back role but it was noticeable Reds had more drive in midfield when he moved there and set-up the winner late in Saturday’s game.
Reds have eight games left to play and have it in their own hands to win the League with games in hand of Marine and Warrington Rylands who are ahead of them.
They have Marine (away) and Rylands (home) still to play in what looks like being an exciting, and nerve-racking end to the season.
