Kendal Town are putting on a special offer for the game with City of Liverpool for football fans in the area.
Anybody who is a season ticket holder at a club in the North West, and who is at a loose end tomorrow with no home game, can get in at Parkside Road for a fiver.
Chairman Michael O’Neill said: “We are just trying to boost our crowds before the end of the season.
“Those season ticket holders who do attend will be allowed to take any accompanying children into the game for free.
“Our defeat at Prescot last week made it mathematically impossible to avoid the bottom two but we do want to finish the season on a high.
“I do believe there are games to come that we can win and give our supporters a bright finish.”
Kendal have received a boost with promising young defender Cameron Gourley electing to stay at the club despite an approach from another NPL West club.
The club chairman said: “We liked the look of Cameron, who has fitted in really well and are really pleased that he has decided to stay with us.
“A club put in seven days’ notice on him and it was a good opportunity for him but he told us he was happy to stay with us. That was a nice boost because he’s a very promising young player.”
The former Squire’s Gate defender – right-back or centre-back – had signed for NPL Premier Division side Bamber Bridge at the start of the season but more recently had played a trial with Lancaster City.
Kendal also have a promising new recruit in Kian Makepeace, a bustling striker who made his debut in last week’s 1-0 defeat at Prescot.
O’Neill said: “He had been playing with Wren Rovers in Blackpool and didn’t know anyone when he joined us late in the week. Under those circumstances, I thought he did really well at Prescot and is going to be an asset.
“I hope we can hold onto these young players, strengthen the squad and bounce straight back next season.”
