Police are investigating after a lorry driver tried to hit a fellow driver over the head with a metal bar.

Following new lines of enquiry, police are appealing for information following a report of an attempted GBH on January 7 at around 12pm at the layby next to Lane End Inn, Hayton, Brampton.

It involved two lorry drivers, where one of the drivers has tried to hit the other over the head with a metal bar.

Officers are seeking witnesses or anyone that may have dashcam footage of the incident.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it , quoting incident number 142 of January 7. You can also call 101.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
