Carlisle Ladies 1sts finished their home league programme with an emphatic 6-1 win against Oldham 1sts.
The hosts started well and had Oldham on the back-foot from the opening miniute and it took them just seven minutes to open the scoring when Esther Stronach scored from just inside the D.
Carlisle didn’t let their tempo drop and had two more good chances before Jess Wharton added a second after 15 minutes.

For all their pressure they were unable to add to their lead until the 28th minute when Jenny Wright fired though an advancing defensive line from a short corner to take Carlisle into half time 3-0 to the good.
More of the same followed in the second half with the Oldham mid-field and defence being pulled all over the pitch by some enterprising passing and running from the home side.
After ten minutes Stronach was again on hand to score her second, a feat Wright achieved after 15 minutes.

Oldham struck back a minute later in one of their rare forays into the Carlisle D, with Issy Cook scoring on her debut as an outfield player. She had joined from Manchester Met as emergency goalkeeping cover, but liked the club so much she stayed on.
Normal service was soon resumed by the Carlisle forwards and on 27 minutes Wright completed her hat-trick to round-off a successful afternoon.
