Workington Town will be strengthened for the visit of York City Knights on Sunday.
Hard-running forward Caine Barnes has completed his three-match suspension and returns to the 21-strong squad.
There’s more good news for the Town pack as Malik Steele is also back in contention to start.
He was pulled out of the matchday squad last week due to a shoulder issue, which was really as a precaution.
However the bad news is that former Wath Brow winger Curtis Teare has to miss out following an arm injury suffered in the home defeat by Halifax Panthers.
Coach Chris Thorman said: “We are waiting substantial swelling to reduce to allow a full assessment to take place.”
Hanley Dawson remains unavailable while Jake Lightowler (knee) and Oscar Thomas (hamstring) are still out.
Another forward David Weetman is closing in on a return and is expected to be available towards the end of the month providing there are no unexpected setbacks.
Stevie Scholey is also progressing very well through his rehabilitation.
The 21 man Town squad is: Barnes, Broadbent, Bickerdike, Brown, Clarke, Clegg, Doran, Fitzsimmons, Forber, Henson, Hutchings, O’Brien ,O’Donnell, Olstrom, Postlethwaite, Simons, Singleton, Steele, Thomson, Walker, Young.
The Knights, who will be visiting Workington for the first time since 2018, have injury issues themselves.
Jamie Ellis, who picked up a hamstring injury almost a fortnight ago and Will Oakes, who suffered a groin strain earlier in March, are still not ready to return.
Huddersfield Giants loanee forward Ronan Michael, who underwent surgery last week, will be missing for about eight week but hooker Kriss Brining, who was ill for the win over Widnes, is now available.
The squad is: Marsh, Brown, Glover, Ogden, O’Hagan, Matongo, Jubb, Teanby, Clarkson, Pauli, Thompson, Davis, Dixon, Stock, Kirmond, Harris, Brining, Towse, Ward, Edwards, Porter.
