More than 200 nautical lots are set to go under the hammer at a Cumbrian auction house.
H&H Auction Rooms is holding a boat, fishing tackle and chandlery sale on April 23.
The boat and fishing sales were the brainchild of Stephen Farthing, auctioneer at H&H Auction Rooms, in 2016.
A highlights of this month’s sale include a 23ft sailing boat, a Dory style boat by Bonwitco with a 30HP outboard, an inflatable tender by Honwave and rods and reels by Hardy’s, the famous maker from Alnwick.
The Bonwitco carries an estimate of £1,000 – £1,500. It is classed as unsinkable and these boats are often used as safety boats at clubs and as fishing boats throughout the UK.
Stephen said: “With a growing enthusiasm for the outdoor life, there has been a lot of support for these sales over the years. Our sale in January had a great turnout and I am sure that with summer fast approaching we will get a good crowd attending, particularly as there is such a huge variety of items on offer.”
Viewing will start at 9am on the day of the sale.
