Former Workington Comets riders continue to make impressive starts to the new season with some eye-catching performances over the Easter weekend.
Ricky Wells top-scored in the Championship with 12 plus two bonus points for Berwick as they beat Edinburgh 56-34 in the Championship.
In the same competition Kyle Howarth was the main points scorer for Leicester with 13 and a bonus as they held-off a strong challenge from Poole to win 48-42.
Although the National Development League match between Berwick and Armadale was abandoned after heat 14 because of the curfew that operates at Shielfield, Kyle Bickley was still able to help himself to 12 points.
Two ex-Comets were in opposition at Glasgow where Newcastle were hammered 67 -23 and the former Workington riders top-scored.
Craig Cook rode to a 15-point maximum for the hosts while James Wright’s seven and a bonus was the best that Newcastle could offer.
The other ex-Comet to top the scoring charts was the Good Friday tally of 13 and two bonus for Richard Lawson as he helped Poole see off Oxford 58-32.
