The Cumberland County Premier League title was decided when Pirelli beat Cockermouth 5-2 at the Sheepmount Complex in Carlisle.
As a result Pirelli took the crown edging past long-time leaders Aspatria by a single point.
It was Cockermouth who had taken the lead early in the game through Luke Graham, before Pirelli restored parity with Ben Campbell notching the first of his two goals.
Pirelli then edged in front through Ben Davidson but Cockermouth came back and levelled the scores with a Sam Wright effort.
The game was nip and tuck at 2-2 until Ben Campbell with his 2nd forged Pirelli into the lead again.
Although both teams were creating chances it was Pirelli who added a further goal through Kieron Blair to give them a 4-2 lead at the interval.
The second period produced an end to end contest but Cockermouth were unable to convert a couple of opportunities with players’ through one on one with the Pirelli custodian.

The destination for the Premier League Trophy was virtually decided when Pirelli’s Jordan Hodgson tucked away the home side’s fifth goal with 14 minutes left to play.
Credit must be given to the Cockermouth side who never gave up the cause, fighting to the end in what was a dead rubber game for them.
The fact that this was the final fixture for Pirelli, who have been pushed all the way by Aspatria and Workington Athletic, says much for the standard of the competition.
The Championship Trophy was presented to Pirelli’s Jordan Pritchard-Farish after the game by League Secretary Geoff Turrell.
Pirelli who captured the Conway Cup earlier in the season have an opportunity to complete a treble on Saturday when they meet Whitehaven Miners in the Benevolent Cup Final at Gillford Park Stadium, the game kicking off at 2:00pm.
Division One Miners are looking forward to the challenge and will provide a stern test, encouraged by their travelling band of vocal supporters.
