The Lanes in Carlisle will be welcoming a string of small businesses to the high street this summer.
The pop-up shop was launched almost two years ago by retail property consultants Barker Proudlove and has successfully brought a number of small businesses to the city centre, by offering them a prime retail unit at an affordable weekly price.
The pop-up will begin operating on May 2 and the the line-up includes local businesses David Phillips Photography, Ethereal Scents, Jo’s Little People, Makers March, Manor Barn Organics, Kah Ceramics, Alpha Grey Art, Acantha Crystals and JK Photography.
The University of Cumbria will also be featured in the space during this time too.
Jessica Swain, from Barker Proudlove, helped set up the pop-up shop. She said: “Bringing a range of small businesses to the city centre is a fantastic opportunity and we hope to provide these businesses with the confidence to potentially take the next step and commit to the high street on a longer term basis.”
