A man has appeared in court accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a woman in Carlisle over the weekend.
Patryk Dmbowski, 36, faces one charge. This alleges that Dmbowski unlawfully and maliciously caused the woman grievous bodily harm on Saturday, April 23.
It is alleged by a prosecutor that a “domestic-related incident” occurred at Allandale Road, off Edgehill Road, in the city “in a communal garden area, initially, and inside a downstairs flat”. A woman is said to have sustained a fractured clavicle during the incident.
Dmbowski, of Allandale Road, Carlisle, appeared in front of a district judge at the city’s magistrates’ court this morning.
No plea was entered to the charge that the defendant faces during a brief hearing.
Dmbowski‘s case was committed to Carlisle Crown Court, where he is due to appear in front of a judge next month.
In the meantime, he was remanded in custody by District Judge John Temperley after an application for bail made by his solicitor, Duncan Campbell, was refused.
