
Cumbria Women are preparing for their first game in this season’s Gill Burns County Championship.
The Cumbrians will face Staffordshire on Saturday at Penrith as they have been placed in Pool 1 of Group 3.
They travel to Derby on Sunday, May 15 to tackle Notts, Lincs and Derby and then on Saturday, May 21 are back in Cumbria at the Upper Eden club.
This year’s squad is 40-strong with 15 of them from Carlisle; 10 from Penrith; seven from Workington; five from Kendal and one from Upper Eden.
Two of the squad members are based out of the county – Fiona Cowperthwaite, of the Sefton club, and Allysia Hine, of Harrogate.
