A Cockermouth bridge is set to close to traffic today for emergency work.
Cocker Bridge, which connects Main Street to Market Place, will be closed for Cumbria County Council contractors to carry out urgent repairs.
A five-day order has been enacted, but it is thought the work will take around three days to complete.
Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to use the bridge.
A diversion is in place for vehicles via Main Street, Gallowbarrow, Lamplugh Road, the A66 and the C2064.
The county council was forced to close the road in November after cracks appeared in its surface, following the storms that month.
