Barrow have arranged a second pre-season friendly and will travel to Witton Albion on Tuesday July 12.
The Bluebirds last took on the Northwich side in a pre-season friendly in 2017 when Barrow won 3-1 with Harry Panayiotou netting a couple for Paul Cox’s side.
An pre-season fixture in 2013 saw Albion secure a 3-2 victory over Dave Bayliss’ Barrow.
They have met in a competitive game at Wincham Park in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round back in the 2011/12 season when the Bluebirds won 4-1.
Adam Boyes scored all four for Barrow and it earned them a first-round home tie with Rotherham United.
The club has already announced the second pre-season away to South Shields on Saturday, July 16.
Meanwhile Barrow will not be swapping managers with FC Halifax after there was a strong week-end suggestion that Phil Brown could be taking over at the Shay.
Certainly the 63-year-old Brown hinted he would be applying in an interview with the Halifax Courier after Barrow had appointed Shay boss Pete Wild as their new manager.
He said: “I’ve got an affinity with Halifax, I’ve got an affinity with a lot of clubs.
“I was buoyed by the reception when we came back with Southend. The people that knew me before were still there strangely enough, so there’s a lot of continuity at the club.
“The club seems very stable and, yes, it’s something I would listen to, absolutely.”
But Brown, a former Halifax player for three seasons, has not been appointed by the Halifax board who have gone for Wild’s assistant Chris Millington as his successor.
He has worked with Wild at the National League club for three seasons and the Halifax board say they have gone for continuity.
