
Luke Johnston won the Keswick 30-mile time trial organised by Velo Club.
Johnston, of Workington, covered the flat 30-mile course on the A66 in an impressive time of 1 hour 4 minutes and 37 seconds at an average speed of 27.86mph.
He was 2 minutes and 10 seconds clear of Allistair Moffatt in second place. Richard Shield finished third in a time of 1:07:52. The fastest female rider was Sue Toppin, with a time of 1:22:56.
VCC’s club time trials continue on Tuesday, June 14, with the Whinlatter Lorton Hill Climb.
