A popular pop-up cafe has reopened its doors to raise funds for a Cumbrian charity.
The Mosedale coffee shop in the shadow of Carrock Fell is a favourite pit-stop for walkers, cyclists, locals and visitors. It offers a variety of delicious home made cakes and bakes, soups and sandwiches.
There is also a bric-a-brac barn for and all profits go to the Northern Fells Group charity.
Cafe organiser Margret Rose said: “The Mosedale Coffee shop is an enjoyable community project involving some 60 volunteer helpers, cake and soup makers. Besides raising funds and profile for the charity it is a very sociable project in which to be involved.”
The cafe, which is in the Quaker Meeting House in the village, is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Saturday and from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday.
The Northern Fells Group serves 3,700 residents spread over 200 square miles of rural and often remote areas of the north of the county.
The charity, backed by Prince Charles, has played a vital role over the past 18 months in maintaining community life in a sparsely populated region of the county where many live in isolated areas.
