Barrow AFC

Barrow manager Pete Wild has again gone back to his old club to add another player to his squad for the coming season.

Right-back Tyrell Warren is the third new recruit for Wild and the second he has brought in from his former club, FC Halifax Town.

The 23-year-old defender has agreed a two year deal with the Bluebirds after making 44 appearances in all competitions for Wild’s team last season.

Warren started his football journey in the Manchester United Academy, progressing through the Old Trafford ranks to star in The Red Devils’ U18 & U23 teams, before making a move to Salford City in 2019 at the age of 20.

Loan spells at Radcliffe and Boston United followed for Warren before Wild secured his services for Halifax last August.

On his latest signing Wild said: “Ty is a huge prospect within the game, and I’m very pleased that he’s made the decision to progress his career by coming to Barrow.

“He fits the way that we want to play at this football club, and also will continue his learning at the next level. We as the staff are excited in helping Ty achieve this goal.

“Our recruitment model is based on getting young, hungry players who are desperate to progress in their own careers whilst helping the football club achieve its goals.”
