Barrow and Furness Labour Party is set to officially open its new headquarters in the town centre.
It has moved from Hartington Street, where it has been since the 1970s, the the building formerly occupied by BBC Radio Cumbria.
Broadcasting House will be officially opened on Saturday and members hope it will become a hub for the community.
Party stalwart Brendan Sweeney said: “Our old building had a strong history, but limited access.
“It is great to be in a building that is fully accessible for everyone. Broadcasting House will provide a high quality modern meeting space, not just for the Labour Party, but for other organisations in the town. We want it to be a real community asset.”
The party is renting out a soundproofed studio in the building to local musicians for a small fee.
