Kendal Town have signed a talented wing-back whom new manager Jimmy Marshall believes has the potential to go far in the game.

The 19-year-old Nathan Hankinson played under Marshall’s tutorship at Milnthorpe Corinthians and he has now followed him to Parkside Road.

Marshall said: “Nathan is a fantastic young talent and one of the best locally for his age. He has bags of energy and pace, and can play on either side, at full back or higher up. He has the potential to become a top player and we are excited to see him make the step up to this level.”

Hankinson said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started and to making the step-up to play for Kendal Town. There are some great lads at the club and a manager who knows me well, so I’m confident I can make an impact and help get the team back to where they should be.”

Marshall has been putting together an experienced squad with the likes of Rob Wilson and Tom Kiliifin moving over from Lancaster City. Hankinson is one the new manager believes is definitely one for the future.
