Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team has been called out every day for the last week as people return to the fells.
Rescues included serious trauma injuries, critical medical emergencies and lost and missing groups.
The latest call out, at 1.20am this morning, saw the team called by Cumbria police after six walkers took a wrong turn on Scafell Pike.
A Phonefind located the party and they were given some advice by the team leader to direct them in the right direction. Due to the poor weather conditions the team were called out and they successfully intercepted the party and provided some rewarming, before escorting them down to safety in the valley.
On Tuesday, a walker on Great Gable was suffering life-threatening chest pains and had to be airlifted to Blackpool from the valley bottom for a life saving operation.
The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association said it had been busy overall for the 10 mountain rescue teams covering the Lake District, with 21 rescues over the last eight days.
It said 25 per cent of the call outs were to help find lost or missing walkers and could have avoided with better preparation.
