The Proclamation will be made at St James’s Palace today, September 10, at 11am, then at the Royal Exchange in the City of London at noon.
Tomorrow, the Proclamation will be made in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast, then at county, city, borough and parish level.
Flags currently flown at half-mast will return to full mast from 11am today until 1pm tomorrow while the Proclamation of the new King is made. They will then be lowered to half-mast until 8am on the day following the state funeral.

How will the Proclamation be made in Cumbria?
The High Sheriff of Cumbria, Alan McViety, will make the proclamation outside The Courts, on English Street in Carlisle very shortly after noon tomorrow and the public are invited to attend.
Timings for the county Proclamation in Carlisle are as follows:
11.50am: County dignitaries will make their way to outside The Courts, English Street.
Shortly after noon:

HM Lord-Lieutenant to offer words of introduction
The High Sheriff reads the Proclamation of the Accession
At the end of the Proclamation
High Sheriff: God save the King
Official Guests repeat: God save the King
All present join in saying: God save the King
Band to play one verse of the national anthem
High Sheriff to call for three cheers for His Majesty the King
High Sheriff to hand copies of the Proclamation to district mayors/chairmen

12:20pm: Dignitaries process, led by The Lord-Lieutenant, High Sheriff and mayor of Carlisle to the Market Cross where the Carlisle City Proclamation will be made by the city mayor Mike Mitchelson.
The Proclamations will be followed by a service at Carlisle Cathedral.
A proclamation will then be made in each district.
Allerdale
In Allerdale, the Proclamation will be made at 12.30pm outside Allerdale House in Workington.
The Proclamation will be made by Allerdale mayor Allan Daniels, who will be joined by local leaders, dignitaries and council officers.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the event which will be held outside at the flagpole, and are asked to arrive from noon.
Barrow
The Royal Proclamation will take place outside Barrow Town Hall at 12.30pm tomorrow.
12.30pm: Dignitaries in attendance will arrive outside of Barrow Town Hall, in Duke Street. Deputy mayor of Barrow, Therese Assouad, will read the Proclamation of the Accession and the national anthem will be played.
Copeland
Mayor Mike Starkie will read the Proclamation in St Nicholas’ Gardens in Whitehaven, at 12.30pm tomorrow. This will follow a short procession from the Green Market gazebo.
Eden
Chairman of Eden District Council, Douglas Banks, will read the Proclamation from the steps of Penrith Town Hall at 12.30pm tomorrow.
South Lakeland
A proclamation will be made in South Lakeland outside Kendal Town Hall at 12.30pm tomorrow.

Barrow
People are asked to lay flowers at the war memorial in Barrow Park.
Carlisle
The laying of flowers is suggested to take place outside Carlisle Cathedral in front of the East Window.
Copeland
Flowers can be left at Whitehaven’s Green Market gazebo, which is located directly opposite the Council’s Market Hall building.
Eden
The laying of flowers is suggested to take place in St Andrew’s churchyard, Penrith the Walton Memorial in Alston, The Anglican churchyard in Kirkby Stephen and St Lawrence’s churchyard in Appleby.
