King Charles III’s first address to the nation included a photo of the Queen – initially believed to have been taken in Whitehaven.
The new king made his first broadcast to pay tribute to his mother and pledge his commitment to the country and Commonweath.
Beside him, on his desk, was a photo of the Queen in a striking blue hat and matching outfit.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that it was the same outfit she wore on a visit to Whitehaven in 2008.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were visiting the town to reopen the newly refurbished Beacon museum, which had just undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment.
She was shown around the Beacon and met World Gurning champion Tommy Mattinson, of Aspatria, among others.
However, research by a Cumbria Crack contributor today believes the picture is actually from a royal visit to Dumfries in 2010 – although Whitehaven townsfolk must be heartened to know she wore it in the town first and liked it so much, she wore it again.
