Two men arrested after brandishing offensive weapon

Two men have been arrested after an incident in Carlisle last Thursday.

It was reported that two men visited an address on Oswald Street at about 2.40pm wielding an offensive weapon. No one was injured.

One man was described as white, about 5ft 9in and aged between 18 and 20. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with a black cap.

The second man was described as white, about 5ft 10in and also aged between 18 and 20. He is described as having a slim to medium build, and he had blond curly hair. He was wearing a black top and black shorts.

A 23-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray and a 22-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of cannabis. Both have been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who have seen the incident or can provide any further information which may assist police making enquiries.
