Whitehaven’s interim chief executive Ashley Kilpatrick is comfortable with the IMG proposals so far for the future of Rugby League.
The clubs will be meeting again next week to discuss the plans and hear updates on how the three tiers of the game will be re-aligned.
Kilpatrick said: “I came out of that meeting last week a lot more positive than I went into it.
“I thought it was a very positive meeting which was met with positivity around the room and with what IMG had to say we all know what direction they want the game to move towards now.
“We all know what we need in place on the field and what we have to do moving towards the changes taking place in 2025 rather than just the illustrative purposes in 2024.”
There will be three Grades going forward – A, B and C – which will determine at what level the clubs will be playing by 2025.
