A man found dead in a West Cumbrian beauty spot has been formally identified as Glen Jackson.
The 46-year-old, of Silloth, was last seen in Maryport on May 21 and one of the largest missing person hunts in Cumbria Constabulary’s history was launched to find him.
He was found at Beckfoot on September 27 and police said his death was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
A police spokesman said: “A file has been prepared for the coroner. The next of kin has been informed.”
