
An 88-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital with critical injuries after a collision in South Cumbria.
The collision, on the Barrow coast road, involved a Mini Cooper and a Skoda Fabia.
The road was closed in both directions from Rampside roundabout to Long Lane.
Police were called to the incident at 2.11pm yesterday, October 27.
A man in his 20s also suffered serious injuries, although these are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remained closed for a number of hours while investigations took place, the vehicles are recovered and the road was made safe.
