Glenn Riley has re-signed for Workington Town ahead of the 2023 League One season.
The former Wath Brow amateur forward had joined Town midway through last season on a loan swap from Whitehaven with Perry Singleton going in the opposite direction.
The deals were made permanent before the end of the Championship campaign and now Riley has signed on again with Town as they drop to League One.
He had initially signed for Warrington Wolves in 2012 and was there three years, making 18 appearances in Super League. In each of those seasons he spent time on loan with Swinton Lions and clocked-up 41 appearances.
In 2015 he joined London Broncos and played ten games before moving back to west Cumbria the following year with Whitehaven.
Two years at the Recreation Ground brought 52 senior appearances and seven tries before moving to Craven Park and joining Barrow.
In two years he played 23 games before returning to Haven for the truncated 2020 season.
He suffered a knee injury so rarely appeared in 2021 but was reported to have “trained the house down” ahead of the 2022 season.
Unfortunately some off-field issues interrupted his progress at Haven and eventually he moved on loan to Town.
