Workington Reds have appealed over Ruben Jerome’s sending-off last week in the 2-1 win at Skelmersdale.
But they have still to hear whether the red card decision has been overturned which would make him eligible for the home game with 1874 Northwich.
Workington manager Danny Grainger was adamant that neither Jerome or the Skelmersdale player should have seen red for the incident, but both walked reducing it to ten a side for the second-half.
Reds have one or two knocks to concern the manager ahead of the game and late decisions are to be made on a couple of players.
One man who could be back in the frame is returning midfielder Brad Hubbold. Although he lost his place at Lancaster through injury he trained well with Reds this week and will be involved in some capacity.
Grainger was delighted with the performance of his Development side in getting through to the third round of the Fred Conway County Cup.
“I’m a big fan of the County Cup and want to go as far as possible every season but because of the ay we are with first team players I had to go the way I did on Wednesday.
I was really pleased with the way they played and it showed what a good job the lads are doing with the Development side.
“It was great to see Robbie Hebson out there in a match again after a year out and another bonus was getting 90 minutes into Danny Eccles.
“The trialist Obua Mugalula did really well, scoring one, laying another on and he had a couple of other chances. and on another night could have had a hat-trick.We will look at things over the next few days and see what happens, he said.
Reds had a boost in mid-week when leaders Macclesfield lost at Runcorn Linnets in their final catch-up game. From the same number of games they are six points clear of the Cumbrians
