Comedian Rich Hall is bringing his latest tour to Cumbria next year.

The American comic, who has presented TV programmes and is a regular guest on panel shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You and QI, is coming to Workington’s Carnegie Theatre.

The American funny man is well known for his dry humour, angry rants and knife-edge observations. But the night will have even more treats in store, with riotous musical interludes thrown into the mix. The touring show has already hit prestigious venues such as the Soho Theatre in London and The Lowry in Salford, where it was a huge hit.

While in the UK he is most well known as a stand-up comedian and guest panellist, Hall has a far-reaching career as a TV presenter, actor, documentary maker, writer and musician.

He will be bringing some of these skills on tour with him, and audience members can expect to be delighted with a “stomping hoedown” (The Mail on Sunday) as well as the usual top-tier stand-up comedy.

Rich Hall: Shot from Cannons comes to the Carnegie Theatre on May 26 2023. Tickets are available now.
