Unions have revealed the dates when ambulance staff will take industrial action over pay.
Paramedics, emergency care assistants, call handlers and other staff will strike on December 21 and December 28 – from 12.01am to 11.59pm each day.
Members of the GMB union at the North West Ambulance Trust voted for strike action over the Government’s four per cent pay award, which the union argues is a real terms pay cut.
The GMB said its representatives will now meet with the service’s bosses to discuss requirements for life and limb cover.
