Workington Victoria completed their winter series with two classes in the Union Jack Club last night.
Ticket winners from the four previous shows were entitled to enter the first class and 23 of them came under the eye of judge David Harrison, of Egremont.
The second class was for fancy coloureds and that attracted 39 entries.
The all-ticket class was won by Morris and Wayne McLuckie with a chequer hen which has now won three times in the show pen this season.
They also took fifth and were rewarded with the trophy and cash for most points in the series.
Richard Martindale and George Lawman won the fancy coloureds class with a chequer pied hen.
David was assisted in his judging role by grandson Henry and gave a special to the bird in the fancy-coloured class that the youngster picked out. It went to Dave ‘Sugar’ Wilson.
