Kendal picked up maximum points in Regional 2 North West when they scored a 39-7 win at Burnage.
Their hosts have lost several players this season and look to be booked for the second relegation place alongside already doomed Kirkby Lonsdale.
It wasn’t the best journey for Kendal, held up by seasonal traffic and they arrived just 30 minutes before the scheduled kick-off which was put back 10 minutes.
Although they made a positive start Kendal were frustrated early on by strong Burnage defending so took the opportunity to go in front from a Glen Weightman penalty.
The first try, though, went to Burnage against the run of play, when some poor Kendal tackling allowed the centre through for a converted try.
But two minutes later Kendal were back in front following a re-set scrum which saw Greg Wrathall break clear to score, with Weightman converting.
Although they were certainly the more likely side to score Kendal couldn’t at that stage so Weightman took the opportunity to put over another penalty.
The second Kendal try eventually came from a scrum. Wrathall was again involved and after he was stopped just short Reece Tomlinson followed-up to barge over. Weightman converted.
Burnage started well in the second half but when they were putting together a promising attack Matt Houghton anticipated a pass and raced in under the sticks for Weightman to converted.
There were less than ten minutes to play when Kendal scored their bponus point try after Burnage lost the ball in their own half.
Young forward Tadhg Butler, who had a splendid afternoon, just put his head down for the line and nobody was going to stop him. Weightman again converted.
A fifth try came in injury time with Butler the provider this time after he was stopped just short. Jack Blocksidge picked-up and went over from short range for the try.
