
Kendal Town have suffered a blow with the postponement of today’s game with Longridge Town.
The Parkside Road pitch was waterlogged after a deluge of water over Christmas and was ruled unplayable.
The Mintcakes were really looking forward to getting back into action today after most of the other sides in the North West Counties Lerague’s Premier Division were able to play yesterday.
Seven of the nine games planned for Boxing Day went ahead but matches at Bury AFC and Winsford were called-off because of waterlogged pitches.
Kendal were due to be involved in the only game today and were hoping for a very good crowd after a series of postponements.
Their next game is scheduled for January 4 at Squire’s Gate and then on Saturday, January 7, they are due to fly to the Isle of Man for a fixture there.
They visit Congleton on Tuesday, January 10 and are not due back at Parkside Road until Saturday, January 14.
