Workington Comets promoter Andrew Bain is expecting a big season from the new number one, Connor Bailey.
The Australian will spearhead the Comets line-up, reformed for a first crack at the National Development League in 2023.
Bain said: “I am delighted to have signed Connor as our new No.1. I think his average is lower than his ability and I am sure he will lead from the front, backed up by our exciting young team.”
Bailey, who rode for Glasgow in the Championship this year, joins the NDL side on a starting average of 8.86 with the Northside outfit now having their full team in place.
Work is continuing at the track to have it spectator friendly and ready for the planned press and practice day at the end of March.
“There’s still some work to do but we are all excited how things are taking shape,” said Bain.
