The properties were cut off after faults occurred on high voltage cables on Tuesday at around 8.40pm.
Over half had power restored after 18 hours, but over 600 had to wait another three until electricity came on at 6pm yesterday.
The firm set up an area in Cafe West on King Street where food and hot drinks were available for people affected.
Electricity North West brought in generators to get power to the properties and it is hoped that the normal supply will be reinstated by 3pm today, Thursday December 29 – although this is subject to change.
