Keswick Campsite has a flood warning – meaning flooding is expected.
People are urged to avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water and consider activating any property flood protection products.
The Environment Agency Flood Warning System has issued this message based on rising river levels.
Flood alerts – meaning flooding is possible – have been issued for:
- Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster
- Rivers Lowther and Eamont
- Flood alert for Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwentwater
People are urged to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting flood plans if you have one.
Flood alerts have been removed for:
- Lower River Eden
- Rivers Caldew and Petteril
- Rivers Esk and Irthing
- Rivers Wampool and Ellen
- Upper River Aire catchment
