A Carlisle road is set to be closed for a ‘significant amount of time’ after a three-vehicle collision damaged a building.
One of the vehicles has caused substantial damage to a property on the street.
The street is closed from the junction at Albion Street and London Road, to the Beaconsfield Street/Five Roads End junction.
One driver was assisted from a vehicle by the fire service and handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service.
The other driver was uninjured, but the impact of their vehicle caused serious structural damage to a terraced property. Police and Carlisle City Council officials were in attendance.

The road will remain closed while the vehicles are recovered, and the road is made safe. Due to the damage caused to the property, this may take a significant amount of time, police said.
Congestion is already being experienced in the area and drivers are asked to plan their journeys and routes accordingly.
All reported injuries are believed to be minor.
