Kendal were able to get back to winning ways when they saw off struggling Kirkby Lonsdale 41-0 at Mint Bridge.
It left the visitors still without a single point in Regional 1 North West and losing in on 1,000 points conceded.
It didn’t take Kendal long to get in front, with just three minutes on the clock when Dan Shorrock collected a cross kick from Glen Weightman to score in the corner.
Although Kendal had started well, at a brisk tempo, Kirkby were coming up with successive offences and subsequently lost a man to the bin.
From this particular penalty Steve Nelson took it quickly and charged over with the returning Jack Blakeney-Edwards adding the conversion.
Fifteen minutes into the contest Kendal scored their third try when prop Joe Anderson made a surging break, backed up by Weightman whose long pass found Joe Fiddler to score.
Anderson’s work for that score was rewarded on 25 minutes after another quickly taken penalty by Weightman released Matt Houghton and he put Anderson in for the bonus point try.
Five minutes into the second half Kendal scored again after a Kirkby clearance from the 22 had been charged down.
Tadhg Butler was stopped short but Anderson was there to find Leo Mercer and he went over with Blakeney-Edwards converting.
As the rain arrived and playing conditions were more testing play became scrappy.
Kendal had to wait to the 65th minute to score again, and once more after Kirkby had lost a player to a yellow card.
A drive from a line-out saw Nelson plunge over and Weightman added the conversion.
Five minutes from the end Nelson scored the final try to complete his hat-trick from close in.
