The pre-season game at Craven Park between Barrow and Workington Town was abandoned after 55 minutes.
The floodlights failed and although there were initial hopes that play could be resumed, it was called off after 20 minutes of uncertainty.
Barrow had dominated possession for the first 30 minutes but against spirited Town defence that wasn’t really reflected on the scoreboard.
They did score two tries in that spell, both out wide on the left with one converted.
But for the last 10 minutes, following the arrival of Blain Marwood, Town put strong pressure on the home defence.
They were rewarded with a try four minutes before the interval and at 10-4 would be extremely happy with their first half effort.
It had taken the Raiders 19 minutes to make the breakthrough when a succession of penalties put Town on the backfoot and with men to spare they got Shane Toal over in the corner.
They scored a second five minutes later, again finding plenty to spare on the left hand edge and this time it was Ryan Show who crossed, and landed the conversion.
In the last ten minutes Town really made an impression on the Barrow defence.
Marwood’s arrival as a substitute made a big difference as he provided some clever shifts of play and passing from half-back.
They got their reward when the home side were opened up out wide and Sean Subutey collected his first try for the club.
Barrow did score a third try 10 minutes into the second half when Andrew Bulman scored in the corner but play was halted five minutes later when the floodlights failed.
There was a 15-minute delay, with hopes of a resumption, but it was then called off.
