
Two cats have died after being shot by an air rifle in Carlisle.
The incidents happened between January 24 and 27 in the area of McDivett Way and Newcastle Street. Three cats in total have been shot and one has survived.
Police are appealing for information and say they believe the incidents are linked.
A police spokesman said: “We are taking this investigation incredibly serious, there are despicable act and we want to hold whoever is responsible, to account for their actions.
“We would appeal to anyone with information to report it to us to help with our enquiries.”
