Barrow defender Joe Grayson has joined Stockport County on loan until the end of the season.

Grayson, 23, joined The Bluebirds in the summer of 2021 following his release from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

He made 26 appearances for Barrow in the 2021/22 campaign and chipped in with two goals, including the opener in the memorable 4-0 victory over eventual League Two champions Forest Green Rovers in April.

The versitile defender made a loan move to Dundee in August, and in his time at Dens Park, Grayson made 14 appearances in all competitions and netted twice.

He returned to Barrow in January, and made a Deadline Day move to Stockport last night, and will spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season with the Edgeley Park outfit.

Joe is the son of experienced Football League manager Simon Grayson who has taken charge at a number of clubs during his career.
