Cumbrian star Dan Bewley was back in action in the USA over the weekend as competitive speedway returned.
The former Workington Comets rider was in the Rest of the World side which lost 44-40 against the USA at Bakersfield.
Bewley had a win, a second and third for six points and also finished last in his second heat.
Fellow British rider Tom Brennan scored seven points while Rasmus Jenson top-scored for the World team with nine.
Gino Manzarez top-scored for the American team with nine points.
The event was streamed live around the world but came in for criticism over the presentation, particularly the fact that riders did not wear distinctive regulation helmet colours.
Another former Comets rider Adam Roynon was part of the commentary team back in Britain and was complimented for his identification of the riders in difficult conditions.
The match was followed by an individual World Elimination Challenge, with Sheffield’s Adam Ellis taking victory in the Final over Rasmus Jensen and Jacob Thorssell, after Bewley fell and was excluded.
