A factory site in South Cumbria is on the market for £3.95 million.
The Dale Farm plant in Kendal, was formerly used for the production of desserts, yogurts and cottage cheese, closed in the autumn of last year and is in the process of being decommissioned ahead of the sale.
It is being marketed by Edwin Thompson. The warehouse building, at the Shap Road Industrial Estate, is almost 65,000 sq ft on 4.8 acres.
John Haley, commercial partner at the Kendal office of Edwin Thompson, said: “This is a rare opportunity for a purchaser to acquire a freehold site offering a range of warehouse accommodation with excellent loading and storage facilities within a large secure site and with a low building coverage of just 31 per cent.
“The property is suitable for an owner occupier or an investor who could come in and divide the building up, as well as the potential for developing further units on site.

“With the characteristics of the Kendal and South Lakeland commercial warehouse market, where demand is strong and supply at an all-time low, the sale is generating good early interest.”
The Former Dale Farm site is being offered at a guide price of £3.95m and further information is available from the Edwin Thompson Kendal Office – 01539 769790.
