Headliners for this year’s Solfest music festival have been revealed.
The Libertines, Ocean Colour Scene and The Futureheads are heading to Cumbria over the August bank holiday for the family-friendly festival at North Lakes Country Park, Silloth.
Organisers are expecting a crowd of around 10,000.
Now in its 19th year, it includes 10 music stages, workshops, activities, cinema and storytelling.
Director Sam Johnston said: “It may have been two years since we received the Arts Council Culture Recovery Fund grant of £175,000 but we are still reaping the rewards of that government investment as seen today in this stellar line up!
“Times are tough for everyone right now, including many of our fellow festivals, but we hope this line up shares a little bit of happiness with you and shows what a little hard work, determination and a lot of sleepless nights can do!
“Solfest sells tickets in every county in the UK – a truly national festival with a local family feel that is hard to replicate, we look forward to welcoming everyone back this summer!”
