Barrow will have to play their next two games without new defender Rory Feely after his recent red card was confirmed.
He had been sent-off against Newport, a decision which Bluebirds boss Pete Wild was severely critical of.
Wild, in fact, said that the referee Seb Stockbridge had actually apologised later for showing a straight red card to the Irishman for a challenge on Newport’s Aaron Lewis.
Prior to the mid-week defeat at Doncaster the Barrow club revealed that they had failed in a bid to have the ban overturned as their appeal had been dismissed.
Wild said: “It’s even more frustrating because the referee has apologised and said it was not a red. He has been marked down for it and still the suspension is not overturned which is very frustrating.
“Rory has done so well since joining us and we are really pleased with how he has started. To lose him for three games, and three big games in a row is very frustrating for us all.”
As well as the Doncaster game he will also miss Saturday’s trip to Bradford City and the following week – February 25 – when the Bluebirds entertain Stockport.
