Australian winger Sean Sabutey took centre stage again for Workington Town in their League One win at Midlands Hurricanes.
Town scored six tries in their 38-28 win and Sabutey scored five of them. He had notched a hat-trick in the Challenge Cup defeat at Doncaster a fortnight ago.
Sabutey had too much pace for the Hurricanes who stayed doggedly in the contest.
Twelve minutes from the end they trailed 32-28 and Town had Cieran Walker sent to the bin.
But the Cumbrians dug deep and late on they made certain of the points with Sabutey’s fifth try which the returning Walker converted.
Jordan Burns had set Town on their way with the first try of the game and Walker landed the first of seven goals – five conversions and two penalties.

Some quick thinking and electric pace by Sabutey got him his first try when he went 80 metres from a 20 metres re-start.
It was looking a long afternoon for the Hurricanes when good quick handling on the left sent Sabutey racing away for his second.
But at 18-0 the hosts rallied and before the break had pulled back to 18-12 with tries from Jack Dawson and Matty Welham, converted by Ben Stead.
To add to Town’s concerns they had Earl Hurst sin-binned but started the second-half well.
Walker knocked over a penalty and Sabutey raced away to complete his hat-trick.
But before Hurst got back on the pitch the Hurricanes scored again through Macauley Hallett and Stead converted.

It got even tighter when Nathan Hill scored another Midlands tries and Stead’s conversion made it 24-26.
Town needed a response and they got it when Sabutey scored his fourth and although Walker missed the conversion he put over a penalty soon after.
It was really tense now when the Hurricanes scored again through Joey Romeo it cut the deficit to 28-32 and Walker left for the sin bin.
But showing great character Town responded and Sabutey rounded off a memorable first visit to Birmingham with his fifth try, converted by Walker.
