A Lake District tip will close for over three weeks due to essential maintenance work.
Ambleside Household Waste Recycling Centre will close from 8am on Monday April 17 and reopen at noon on Wednesday May 10.
While the Ambleside centre is closed, the nearest alternative sites are:
- Kendal HWRC, Canal Head North, Kendal, LA9 7DB. Open Monday to Sunday 8am to 4pm.
- Flusco HWRC, Newbiggin, Penrith CA11 0JB. Open Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm.
Valid waste permits issued for Ambleside Household Waste Recycling Centre will be accepted at all centres in the area.
A Westmorland and Furness Council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused while Ambleside HWRC is closed for emergency repairs.
“If the work is completed ahead of time, it will reopen earlier than expected.”
