
Neil Marston, the Upper Eden chairman, is the new representative for Cumbria on the RFU Council.
He takes over from Creighton’s John Rogers who has completed his three years in the role.
Neil started playing rugby when he was 15 and has been involved for 46 years as a volunteer at Upper Eden RUFC.
In that time he has served as chairman, president, secretary, youth/ladies coach and player.
He joined Cumbria CB in 2018 as compliance director and is currently the board chairman. He lives in Kirkby Stephen and is married with twin sons aged 27.
Neil said: “I am honoured and delighted to be elected as Cumbria representative on the RFU Council.
“I am very passionate about community rugby at grassroots level and will do my best to represent and serve all the clubs in Cumbria.”
