A comfortable 4-0 home win over Crawley Town kept Barrow on the fringes of the promotion play-off places.
With five games to go they are five points shy so have plenty to play for over the closing weeks of the season.
For Crawley it’s a battle to survive now as they find themselves in the bottom two a point behind Hartlepool.
Barrow’s top scorer Josh Gordon was the hero as he scored the first hat-trick of his career, to take his tally for the season to 15 goals. Ged Garner scored his first goal for the club to make it 4-0 in the 81st minute.
Barrow boss Pete Wild was looking for a positive response after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Crewe on Good Friday and he got it.
Gordon gave the Bluebirds the lead on 17 minutes when he arrived at the far post to knock in Elliot Newby’s cross.
After having a second ruled out Gordon started the second-half with one that did count. Again he was at the back post and this time finished off after Harrison Neal knocked on Rory Feely’s throw.
When Garner was brought down by Travis Johnson in the 55th minute it was Gordon who stepped up to tuck away the penalty and complete his hat-trick.
There were only eight minutes left when Garner headed home to complete a commanding home performance.
